Midwinter short takes on some current health topics

This HND piece takes a look at three current topics of interest:  the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development Study; the Patients over Paperwork initiative; and Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JP Morgan Chase joining forces to disrupt healthcare.

The study is big and will follow about 10,000 9-10 year-old kids for ten years, to see how teen brains develop.  CMS is trying to reduce its onerous paperwork burden, and I wish them luck, as all medical plans follow their lead.  The supposed "dream team" alliance is being praised, but may not be quite as great as people think.
